Basically why I love this site because.

1- James really knows and loves film. I’v learned so much about classic horror films and best Jackie Chan stunts from his videos.

2- His collection is amazing. Who has the signed autographed poster of the creature from the black lagoon and even the hockey mask from friday the 13? A fanatic that’s who.

3- His inspirational for upcoming film makers. He makes film on what he enjoys and it shows. 300 amateur films for basically no profit shows the dedication this guy has. Seeing the 300 film special shows despite lack of equipment or profit he does the films for the best reason. Because he loves it.

4- His doing a marathon on horror films and Godzilla. That is awesome.

Good films don’t need remaking.

After hearing about Robocop was being remade, the question that went through my mind was. Why? A good film doesnt need to be remade. No bad films with great ideas need to be remade.

Just look at this scene from Robocop.

Badass. Solid gold film reel. Warning foul language, awesome action and NSFW yadda yadda yadda.

We had to design 10 characters for 3D and draw a new character for …whatever we are doing later at school.

Today was one of the last days of art class for the first term of Cert4. Even though most students did’nt enjoy the class, I felt like I still learned something and was given a bit of hand on experience with different art styles/techniques.

One of our last sessions was splashing ink onto paper then observing if the marks formed shapes, much like the basic of reconising shapes and patterns like our cavemen ancestors did, without the clubbing or dinosaur fighting.

Still thanks to this course was a great eye opener ands its almost halfway there…

Next assignment is going to be our own hand drawn characters for 3D class, inspired by the video game Little Big Planet.

Since the game offers large customization of a basic character model we are told to darw our own so we can design and animate our own 3D character similar to Little Big Planet.

Most my designed characters most likely won’t be posted here or at school due to offensive material.

Game project coming to a complete.

A game which we have to work on for Flash in our course is nearly coming to a complete.

The game is about you play as a scout ship that is stuck in enemy territory. Without any weapons you must escape by avoiding other enemy ships. It took a lot of planning and was constantly on the chopping block but thank god its almost done.

Also the Soundtrack is copyrighted by all respected owners. The tracks are.

Finished a DVD menu of my favourite film Back to the Future for an assignment, all done in Adobe Illustrator and all menu’s inspired by the film staring Micheal J Fox. A classic indeed.

Close up- A mans eyes open he looks dazed as his you can see his pupil look around his surroundings.

Wide shot- Many empty pizza boxes cover a table.

Mid shot- The man is shown waiting for the washing machine to finish.

After a night of over gourging on many pizza’s, the man awakens in a dazed and confused state with getting up and after veiwing the mess me made, he vomits on himself forcing him to clean his clothes.

The Setup:

Protagonist: Matrix
Antagonist: Bennett
Occupation (at start): Retired Army Commando who lives in the mountains with his daughter.
Occupation (at end): Once again Retired Army Commando who leaves on a seaboat with his daughter and air stewart he met.
Needs/Goals: To live a peaceful life with his daughter.
Problems: Espanic warlord and crazy australian kidnap his daughter.

Inciting Incident

When news arrive of his former platoon members are being killed off, general kirby (long time friend and named after a nintendo character) totally blows his cover by just visiting him which lead Bennett to him, leading to his daughters kidnapping and Matrix giving one of many one liners in this film.

Random henchman- We can negotiate…
Matrix- WRONG! *shoots random henchman at point blank range.*
After failing to catch his daughters kidnappers, he gets captured by Bennett. Bennett gets a pretty good one liner here.
Bennett- ""Do you know what day it is Matrix? PAY DAY!""
After this Matrix recovers so he is told by the Espanic warlord if he agrees to kill another leader in un named country he will release his daughter back to him.

Act One Turning Point

Matrix is taken to the airport with the henchman who was in The Warriors (the one with the bottles and whiney voice) and secound henchman who for some reason is dressed like his going to a hawaii themed party. Matrix said his amused by the first henchman’s jokes so he promises to kill him last.
When boarding the airplane with hawaii themed henchman he suddenly breaks the Hawaii Themed Henchmans neck and covers him up with a blanket and strawhat, before escaping the plane he tells the air stewart, ""Don’t bother my friend, his dead tired""
Escapes the airplane when its taking off un noticed to the first henchman, luckily for matrix The Warriors henchman is trying to hit on a air stewart to notice a six foot muscle factory following him. Matrix convinces the air stewart to following the The Warriors henchman. When she asks will Matrix tell her why his doing this he says ""No."" Brilliant.

Mid Point

The Warriors Henchman goes to a shopping mall to collect more money, Matrix asks the air stewart to attract Warrios Henchman out in the open, instead she calls security and because of that four people get shot and you’ll see the most security enforced shopping center ever.
Warriors Henchman escapes in his car and Matrix with the air stewart for some reason chases after Warriors Henchman vehicle, eventually both crashing and Matrix takes Warriors Henchman’s hotel key and gets another amazing two one liners.
""Remember when I said I would kill you last? I LIED."" Matrix then drops Warriors henchmen over a cliff. When asked by the air stewart what happen to him he simply replies ""I let him go.""
Both Matricx and the air stewart go to the hotel, which the key they took off Warriors Henchman to find clues over matrix daughter. However another henchman arrives (well call him green berea) hench a fight breaks out between him and matrix, both bursting into another room, which is filming an adult erotic film, then another one liner is delivered.
""This green Berea is going to kick your ass""
""I eat green Berea’s FOR BREAKFAST!"" Powerful writing here.
Matrix kills Green Berea by impaling him on a table, then searches his car to find a refuelling receipt so he puts two and two together and goes with the air stewart to find a refuelling station.

Act Two Turning Point

Matrix’s daughter is shown thrown into a room and then plans her escape by tearing off the door knob to use as a crowbar on the boarded up windows. Smart kid.
Bennett just keeps talking about how hard he is to espanic warlord.
Martix learns at the refuelling station, that he can steal a boat to fly to the island where his daughter is kept. But first he stocks up on weapons by breaking into a local gun store. Plan doesnt work well when he gets arrested however thanks to the air stewarts help. Matrix escapes and both pilot the airplane to the Island.

Act Three Turning Point

Matrix for some reason paddles out to the island in his underwear in broad daylight, only to land on the beach to redress himself in all his military gear. Shouldnt he have done that first anyway?
Espanic warlord learns that hawaii themed henchman was killed, tells Bennett to kill Matrix’s daughter.
Matrix procedes to shoot,kill,maim ,destroy everything in his path. Arousing Bennett.
Air stewart calls on the airplane radio for more support troops to support Matrix.
Bennett Relises that Matrix’s daughter escapes and literally jumps through a wall to chase after her.
Matrix kills Espanic warlord in a gunfight, then somehow hears his daughters soft toned call of daddy despite shes in the basement and his at least three stories upstairs.
Matrix somehow convinces Bennett not to shoot him and instead have a knife fight, Bennett goes absolutly insane and agrees then procedes to scream like crazy.
Matrix and Bennett fight, Bennett falls on an electric fence yet gets right back into fighting matrix, ok.
Matrix and Bennett continue fighting until Bennett reaches for his gun, in which Matrix pulls a lead pipe off the wall and impales Bennett though a large container of steam. With another one liner of ""Let off SOME STEAM BENNETT!"" Picks up daughter who seems unphased watching her father fight to the death with a man trying to kill her.

Resolution

Support Troops arrive with Kirby. But Matrix already killed everyone.
Kirby offers matrix to restart a platoon, Matrix denies and then leaves on the airplane with his daughter and air stewart to some eighties rock song I can’t name.
